Did You Know?General Equipment, Advanced Equipment and Production Labs are available for checkout to currently enrolled students, Faculty and Staff of The Art Institute of Las Vegas and the International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Las Vegas.
In order to use Art Institute of Las Vegas equipment and Labs, a patron must sign the general equipment agreement. This agreement is available at the checkout cage. A member of the checkout staff will activate equipment accounts with a signed agreement, current class schedule, and an active AILV Staff ID card.
All equipment is available for a maximum 24-hour period unless a previous reservation requires earlier return. It is the responsibility of the patron to verify the proper return time of each transaction. A checkout summary with detailed return times is available upon request. It is suggested that you plan your equipment needs and make equipment and lab reservations as early as possible. Equipment checked out on Saturday is due at the time of checkout on the following business day.
Partial returns are not acceptable and will result in fines being assessed and possible suspension of privileges.
General Equipment is available for all Students, Faculty and Staff to checkout. Advanced equipment and lab usage is only available after the designated prerequisites have been met.

Equipment and labs are provided for class use and/or school-related projects only. Equipment and labs are not to be used in profit-making ventures, freelance work, or personal projects.
Equipment is not to be used near water or in any location deemed dangerous or hazardous.
Patron assumes full responsibility for equipment and/or the contents of the Lab for the entire duration of their checkout period.
Patron will be charged with repair or replacement for any and all damages (including theft or loss) incurred during their checkout period.
Patron is not authorized to loan, sell, or rent the equipment to anyone, including other patrons, faculty, or staff members.
Checkout equipment and Labs are intended for approved class use and/or school related projects. Equipment and labs are not to be used in profit making ventures, freelance work, or personal projects. Checkout equipment is not to be used near water or in any other hazardous location or environment that may cause permanent damage to the equipment.
Equipment and Lab reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance at the checkout cage.
Recurring reservations are reserved for staff/faculty only.
Reservation cancellations require 24-hours notice. Anything less will result in a $20.00 fine.
Reserved equipment and labs will be released 15 minutes after the start time if not checked out on time.
Equipment and labs should be returned in the same condition as it was when checked out. Equipment and labs are inspected before and after each transaction.
Labs can be reserved for one period per week per patron and are available in the following time increments:

You must present currently active AILV ID at time of checkout.
Equipment that is not returned on time will accrue fines.
Patrons will not be allowed to check out additional equipment until the item is returned and all fines are paid.
If equipment is returned damaged or lost/stolen patron will be billed for repairs or replacement.
Students are allowed to check out only one item of equipment at a time (i.e. one camera, tripod, graphics tablet, etc.)
If your production requires non-student visitors (i.e. Actors, models, etc.), they must be registered with campus security and your instructors at least 24 hours prior to the production. Non-student visitors must check in with Security at the time of production.
No animals or children are allowed in the school or labs at any time.
There will be absolutely no drinks or food (open or closed) within the labs.
