The Service Bureau is pleased to announce large-scale improvements to the equipment policy. Under the new equipment checkout policy, all students, faculty, and staff are required to sign ONE all encompassing general equipment agreement prior to checking out equipment.

Here are some of the highlights of the new policy:

  1. 1. Equipment can be checked out for up to 24 hours. Previous reservations will determine the length of time a piece of equipment can be used.
  2. 2. Overnight forms are eliminated. The requirement to obtain signatures for overnight checkout is no longer necessary.
  3. 3. Equipment and lab rules are clearly defined and made available at all times at the Checkout Cage and online at http://ailvtech.aiiresources.com.
  4. 4. A reservation process has been established to aid in planning class projects that require equipment.
  5. 5. An automated General and Advanced equipment process is now clearly defined and implemented eliminating the need for advanced equipment forms.

We hope you are as pleased with the changes as we are. We believe the new process will provide greater access to equipment and streamline the checkout process for your convenience. Please understand that greater access to equipment means greater responsibility. If equipment is returned late, it may impact classroom instruction or another patron’s reservation. For that reason, late fees and suspensions will be strictly enforced.
